- Early Years Program (Qualicum Beach)
Qualicum Beach has been my home for 23 years. It’s been a great joy to contribute to several early childhood circles for over two decades. My work is grounded in nurturing each child’s curiosity to foster a meaningful connection with the natural world.
My experience includes homeschooling my three now-grown children, launching an early years gardening program at the QB Community Garden, and serving as lead educator with the QB Forest School. I’ve spent time as a Scouts leader, and a baseball coach. I continue to help lead a mountain bike club for youth and remain an active volunteer with multiple groups and events in the Oceanside community.
In my free time, you’ll also find me outside—enjoying both land and water sports or tending to my vegetables year-round.
As an educator, I feel called to see the light in each child and help it shine brighter. Side by side, we learn to respect flora, fauna, and one another—values we carry into adulthood and our community. As Albert Einstein said, “Look deep into nature and then you will understand everything better.”
