Our Early Years Program has a ratio of no more than 8 forest friends to 1 Nature Educator and expands on the BC Ministry of Education’s Early Learning Framework, with an emphasis on a child-led, nature and play-based curriculum that encourages preschoolers to engage with their environment through art, music, games, physical activities and group learning…GO NATURE!!!

3-5 YEAR OLD FOREST FRIENDS: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday • 9am – 12pm (please choose a minimum of 2 days or a maximum of 3 days to register)
Monthly Tuition: $125/weekday ($115/Mondays, due to frequent statutory holidays/program closures throughout the school year). For example: If you register for Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays, then the monthly tuition will be $375/month ($125/weekday x 3 days/week).
EXTENDED AFTERNOON HOURS (12pm – 3pm): $125/weekday ($115/Mondays, due to frequent statutory holidays/program closures throughout the school year). For example: If you register for Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, then the monthly tuition will be $375/month ($125/weekday x 3 days/week). Please note that we are not set up for napping during this program and Fridays are cancelled for 2024-25).

Support the Forest
The Cumberland Forest is part of an interconnected system of forests, salmon-bearing creeks, wetlands and riparian areas adjacent to the Village of Cumberland on Vancouver Island in the traditional territory of the K’omoks Nation.
