Our Early Years Program has a ratio of no more than 8 forest friends to 1 Nature Educator and expands on the BC Ministry of Education’s Early Learning Framework, with an emphasis on a child-led, nature and play-based curriculum that encourages preschoolers to engage with their environment through art, music, games, physical activities and group learning…GO NATURE!!!

3-5 YEAR OLD FOREST FRIENDS: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday • 9am – 12pm (please choose a minimum of 2 days or a maximum of 3 days to register)
Monthly Tuition: $130/weekday ($120/Mondays, due to frequent statutory holidays/program closures throughout the school year). For example: If you register for Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, then the monthly tuition will be $390/month ($130/weekday x 3 days/week).
EXTENDED AFTERNOON HOURS (12pm – 3pm): $130/weekday ($120/Mondays, due to frequent statutory holidays/program closures throughout the school year). For example: If you register for Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, then the monthly tuition will be $390/month ($130/weekday x 3 days/week). Please note that this is an extension to our morning program, you must be registered for our morning program in order to register for afternoon hours and we are not set up for napping during this program.

Support the Forest
The Cumberland Forest is part of an interconnected system of forests, salmon-bearing creeks, wetlands and riparian areas adjacent to the Village of Cumberland on Vancouver Island in the traditional territory of the K’omoks Nation.
