This is a super fun activity that begins outside and either extends outside or you can take it inside. First, go for a forest/beach exploration, collect treasures (rocks, pebbles, stones, moss, twigs, etc.) and bring up a conversation about the animals that live in that environment. Then, group all of your treasures in categories, trace and cut out shapes of the animals you talked about during your exploration and decorate your animals with your treasures. Finally, bring your treasures back to the forest/beach and return them from where they came so that your animals can continue enjoy living with them!
