I am grateful to live and work as a visitor on the traditional territory of the K’ómoks First Nation, known today as the Sahtloot, Sasitla, Ieeksun and Puntledge people.
For the past decade, I’ve had the joy and honour of working in outdoor schools across BC and Ontario, guiding children in discovering the wonder and wisdom of the natural world. My background includes studies in Indigenous Environmental Studies and Science, B.Ed. in Remote and Rural Education from UBC, and training with the Wilderness Awareness School, PINE Project, School of Lost Borders and Dominion Herbal College.
My work with children is centered in connection. I see each child as a capable, curious learner and seek to nurture their sense of belonging with themselves, with others, and with the land. Whether through games, stories, quiet listening in the forest, or hands-on exploration, I invite children to deepen their confidence and creativity outdoors.
I love bringing my own passions— story telling, song singing, working with plants, and crafting with natural fibers—into learning spaces, offering children opportunities to create, imagine, and care for the living world. Most of all, I feel grateful to witness the joy and growth that emerges when children spend time in wild places.
